2- Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef, Cape Range National Park

It’s a glamping hotspot of five luxury wilderness tents tucked away among the white sand dunes of Cape Range National Park, metres from the water’s edge.

The camp abides by strict principles of minimal impact and sustainability.

Power is solar generated; each en-suite bathroom has a composting toilet; water usage is carefully managed and no waste material is allowed to escape into the surrounding ecosystem.

Native herb soaps and ecologically sound shampoos are provided for guests.

Owned by the Gumala Aboriginal Corporation, Karijini Eco Retreat is a wilderness hideaway of the aboriginal people of the Pilbara region.

It’s a back-to-nature base from which travellers can explore Karijini National Park.

Sleep in luxury eco-tents that have bathrooms or you can choose campsites with shared facilities.

4- Great Escape Charter, Kimberley coast

Cruise with a conscience along the remote Kimberley coastline with a tour company certified with Ecotourism Australia at the highest level.

MV Great Escape is a 26-metre luxury catamaran which accommodates 14 passengers.

A day’s cruising west of Broome the Rowley Shoals is an undiscovered ocean paradise with coral atolls rising 400m from the sea bed.

Guests can swim among giant clams, Maori wrasse and giant potato cod.

Freemantle is the port city where the Swan River meets the Indian Ocean.
