Quebec’s Gaspésie National Park is a landscape of mountains, with 25 peaks over 1000m (3,280 ft) high. Set in the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula, the national park is a favourite place to go hiking.

Gaspésie National Park may be slightly off the beaten track for visitors wanting to experience winter in Quebec.

However, adventurous travellers will be well rewarded by the breathtaking scenery, which you can explore on snowshoes or skis, and challenging backcountry circuits.

Gaspésie National Park has four backcountry skiing circuits for cross-country skiers.

These circuits are marked but not groomed so you need to be an experienced cross-country skier to even think about tackling them. A
