I’m a freelance journalist based in Malaysia, specializing in travel and the environment.

I’m an Australian but I’ve been living in Asia longer than I can remember.

When I was living in Sydney, I was a teacher of environmental studies and geography. My job was to take children into the Australian bush for camping and hunting and teach them about the environment.

I joined the national conservation trust, WWF, 20 years ago. One of my first jobs involved working in Sabah and exploring places like Turtle Island and Mount Kinabalu.

When not travelling the world, I like relaxing with my equally adventurous wife Maria and daughter Zoe.
