Before Instagram took over my world, I worked in the fashion, managing, designing, buying and doing visual merchandising. This led me to eventually opening my own stores. When I first joined Instagram, I was running my own fashion boutique in Mullumbimby near Byron Bay.
Then my youngest daughter became very ill and I had to close down my store to devote all my time to caring for her.
Just recently, I gave up part-time work in a rehabilitation clinic to pursue a career as a professional instagrammer and travel photographer. I fell into my dream job when I bought an iPhone 3G and downloaded the first free app I saw in the app store. Now, even though I work seven days a week on it it’s a job I love.
I was born in Sydney but grew up all over Australia and New Zealand so travelling has always been in my blood. I attended 19 different schools!
These days, I live on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. One side of my street is in Queensland while the other side of the street is in New South Wales. My local (and favourite) beach is Snapper Rocks, where you might find me walking on the beach shooting the sunrise in my pyjamas.
I have two beautiful teenage daughters whom I miss horribly when I’m away. But fortunately my daughters are very independent and they like their Dad’s cooking better than mine!
When I’m not traveling or shooting, I’m a bit of a homebody. I love reading, drawing, cooking, knitting, gardening, going to the beach, listening to music, and being with friends and family.
My dream destinations are Canada, Iceland, Galapagos Islands, Madagascar, Maldives, Tahiti and the Philippines.
