The Luxe Traveller

Never happier than when I’m on the move, I love to seek out beautiful places wherever I am on the planet.

A freelance travel writer, I’ve written for numerous magazines, newspapers and inflights, including Silver Kris, Etihad and Emirates inflights, World magazine, Get Up and Go and others. A luxe kinda gal, I prefer to travel in style and am currently editor-in-chief of the online luxury travel advisory, www.theluxetraveller.com.

I specialize in writing about luxury or top end travel, spas and wellness holidays and finding spiritual places on the planet.

When I’m not taking a leisurely cruise on the Irrawaddy, snorkelling in PNG or checking out the best places to eat in LA, I reside in “Glamarama” in Sydney overlooking the beach and just around the bend from world famous Bondi.

When not seeking out the best places to stay and the coolest things to do, I like to slow down long enough to track down the best coffee and the perfect well-muddled Mojito.

My favourite singer is Lana del Rey and my favourite quote by Mark Twain, “I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”

I’ve been a journalist, an editor, written for Tourism Australia and handled the PR for Emirates but, after a career in hard news reporting on Australian newspapers, I moved to editing magazines and, more recently, freelancing. Now I take my laptop with me and my desk can be anywhere.

So far I’ve made it to 47 countries and lived in Italy and the US, but high on the bucket list are Bhutan, Oman, Jordan, the Caribbean and more of South America.
