I am a Sydney based international travel writer and photographer.
From an early age writing essays and features has been my passion. At school, I was a regular contributor on topics from sports and culture to history and literature for the institution’s quarterly magazine.
Later this creative exertion continued during tenure at the university where I studied engineering and subsequently completed post graduate qualifications in business management.
While contributing to the corporate business world, I always found time to pursue my pastime for writing, perhaps that being my medium of relaxation.
Travel always fascinated me, it being an avenue to enrich my mind with sights and sounds of the knowns and unknowns.
This in combination with lust for writing and thirst for learning about different society’s lifestyle, culture and history inspired me a decade ago to become a travel writer, so as to share my experiences with others.
To date I have produced over 350 travel features published in elite print and online publications in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, India and Sri Lanka – Sydney Morning Herald and Sunday Telegraph in Australia, Otago Daily Times in New Zealand Strait Times in Singapore, Toronto Star in Canada, The Statesman in India and Khaleej Times in Dubai are few of them.
A key goal of mine is to visit at least 100 countries and see through my own eyes the Seven Wonders of the World. So far the progress has been good.
I have already touched my itchy feet on 76 countries in 6 continents and have glimpsed the beauty of 6 Wonders of the World.
I am well connected with the travel industry. I am a Member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW), Member of the Foreign Correspondents Association (FCA) and Chairman of Australia, India Travel & Tourism Council (AITTC).
