Very unique experience! Glamping type at its finest! Hilary was incredibly hospitable and a joy to meet. Having the full toilet now was a bonus, and the shower and kitchen facilities were superb for being outdoors!

At La Boheme, you will experience a unique Safari Tent Glamping experience! Customize your stay: you can grill onsite, order take-out, dine out, stay-in and book a personal masseuse. You can find places to hike, bike, play tennis, come back and shower (with hot water) hop on a train or catch an Uber to your evening adventure. Maybe you decide to stay back at the glamp and light a fire, play some scrabble & make s'mores. Smack-dab-in-the-middle of one of the hottest, hippest and happenig areas of Los Angeles -- you can also feel like you are miles away--camping. It helps if you have an adventurous spirit and enjoy the outdoors, raccoons AND CATS! We have 5 and they will visit you. Sometimes the serenity can be disturbed by firetrucks or helicopters or anything else that sometiimes happens in a city. The Metro train (Gold Line) runs behind the property. Ear plugs are provided as well as a fan for white noise & a space heater. The matress pad is heated. There is a compostible toilet & propane hotwater tank for showering. The bathroom is a 10 foot walk (outside) from the front porch. If it's raining -- you will get wet. This is Glamorous Camping. But it's still camping, in a CITY.
I've been successfully hosting guests for a few years and I really enjoy the experience of meeting new people and and providing a unique experience. I think being able to enjoy the city, hike, visit museums or jazz clubs and then go "home" to a campside fire with hot cocoa & sleep in a tent -- (on a real bed) --- is super fun! You can experience hiking/biking trails and all sorts of outdoor activities anywhere from a 5 minute walk to 30 minutes away by car---- but you can also hop on the Gold Line train (which is a 1 minute walk out the back door) and in choosing one direction, you are a couple of stops from Chinatown or Downtown LA's rich cultural experiences & exciting nightlife. If you decide to explore in the other direction, Metro's Gold Line (in 1 stop) will take you to the heart of Highland Park's bustling scene - offering a smorgasbord of eateries, coffee-shops, speakeasies, boutiques, yoga studios and art galleries - including LA's oldest bowling alley: Highland Park Bowl. Take the train further and you're in the heart of glorious Pasadena (home to The Rose Bowl and exceptional Norton Simon Museum)-- or continue out to beautiful Sierra Madre -- where there is hiking and exploring galore!
