Juliana is a well-travelled Hong Kong-based freelance journalist covering stories about travel, food, culture, luxury hospitality and design. She lived in Macao 2012-2016 and dug deep into the food and culture of the sleepy enclave. She was also a part-time lecturer at IFT Macao’s hospitality school. Born and bred in Singapore (Peranakan heritage), Juliana continues to discover the many similarities in Nonya and Macanese dishes, as well as colloquial slangs in Macanese Patua and Malay.
