Steve Bebington

Steve Bebington lives in a small coastal town on South Africa’s Garden Route, where he divides his time between writing, whale-watching, planning epic road trips, and lots of coffee. He firmly believes that if you do what you’re passionate about - you’ll never have to work a day in your life. For 30-plus years, Steve was a professional nature guide, spending a decade crisscrossing southern Africa while based at some of the premier wildlife destinations in South Africa, Botswana, and Malawi. Following that, he moved on to leading whale-watching excursions for ten years until the pandemic. Since then, he has begun to explore his other passion; writing. He specialises in travel-related content, specifically nature-based and safari. He hopes to develop his writing career by adding his passion for photography, to create content that inspires the preservation of our natural heritage. Aside from southern Africa, Steve has travelled a little in Greece, and England, and spent six months exploring the USA. His favourite destination is the Kruger National Park of South Africa, which he loves for the wilderness, the wildness, and the solitude. His least favourite destination is any large city. He is self-taught and ever curious.
