1- Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

Located by the stunning Lake Wales, Westgate River Ranch isn’t just glamping, it’s luxury glamping.

In your beautifully furnished private tents, not only will you get a king-sized bed, mini fridge and full bathroom, but you also have your own personal glamping concierge, morning coffee service and a golf cart.

Even if you can’t quite shell out for one of these larger tents, they have multiple accommodation options, including smaller luxury teepees and cute Conestoga Wagons.

There is no end to fun activities to do in the area either, horse-riding is a must on the ranch, but you can also go on an airboat or river cruise.

2- Suwannee River Cabin Sanctuary

If you’re looking for a way to ease into glamping that doesn’t require a tent of any kind, this cute cabin by the Suwannee River could be perfect for you.

The cabin overlooks the beautiful river and is just a short drive from Gainesville.

If you’re using it as a base to explore, you can hike, fish, swim, kayak and more in the surrounding nature.

There are also multiple freshwater springs to swim or relax in (they can be cold!).

The River Ranch RV Resort is a campground where people both take their RVs for short-term camping or rent out a lot for the long term.

Luckily for visitors, these longer-term RVs can often be booked to stay in, and this one is a beautiful place to stay.

The RV is fully stocked with everything you need, including its golf cart.

River Ranch Resort is a countryside experience and isn’t super close to major towns, however, it is only around a 1.5-hr drive to Orlando and the same to Lakeland if you’re planning to do a day trip.

5- Fancy Camps, Florida Gulf Coast

Fancy Camps is an authentic glamping experience and exactly what you imagine it to be – fancy boho tents with big beds and A/C.

They have multiple locations across the Florida Gulf State Parks.

Tents are pet friendly and have cosy rugs and bedding, plus firepits, fairy lights and outdoor furniture for an amazing experience that is still comfortable.

6- Twin Lakes Camp Resort

The Twin Lakes Camp Resort near DeFuniak Springs is a stunning camping area for anyone with a tent or RV to enjoy, however, they also offer some luxury glamping tents for visitors.

The spacious tents have wooden floors, claw foot tubs, king sized bed and a TV, so they make a perfect base whether you’re in the area to explore or are having a romantic getaway.

Relaxing is the primary season for coming here, and enjoying the lovely lake views, however, you can also go fishing, hiking, swimming and more, plus it is a great place to stop overnight if you’re driving long-distance to Orlando, Destin or even New Orleans.

7- Waterview Cabin, Grandaddy Oak Covered Farm

As the name might suggest, this picturesque glamping spot is right in the middle of an 8-acre oak-covered farm, and the quaint white cabin floats on the water (accessible by jetty).

Although there is little in the cabin but a bed, it has pretty white furnishings and a terrace, plus a bug net that allows you to sleep in the open air overlooking the lake.

The farm is a delight for animal lovers, with mini horses, cows and even zebras.

There is also a separate bathroom and shower, and they provide a grill and campfire so that you can cook up your dinner and enjoy a true glamping experience. 

8- The Griffin Ranch

The Griffin Ranch, although not a tent, still counts as glamping and you’ll be staying in a classic, old-fashioned wooden ranch house in the small village of Fort McCoy, about an hour’s drive from Gainesville.

The ranch has beautiful antique interiors and sits on 30 acres of land, where you can spot some native animals such as black bears, deer, alligators and bird life.

Also on and around the ranch, you can go cycling, canoeing, horseback riding and even scuba diving, so you’ll have plenty to keep you busy.

9- Timberline at Hillsborough River

In the Hillsborough River State Park in Tampa, Timberline Glamping offers stereotypically stunning glamping tents and a range of activities in the area.

You can choose from a Bell Tent or a slightly more spacious Safari Tent.

Safari Tents have King beds plus bunk beds, coffee makers and a mini fridge, while the Bell Tents are better for couples with all the same amenities aside from bunk beds.

Coldwater Gardens is about a 45-minute drive from Pensacola and offers a huge range of eco-friendly camping and glamping options, such as eco-cottages, cabanas, treehouses and glamping tents.

The six tents overlook a pine savannah and are a short walk from the creek.

Tents have queen-sized beds, coffee machines and outdoor furniture, and a central bath house with hot showers.

The area is perfect for hiking or swimming in the creek, going kayaking, tubing or fishing and you can also go cycling if you bring your bikes.

Nearby is also a strawberry farm, horse-riding ranch and butterfly house.

Camping on the Gulf is arguably Florida’s prettiest glamping location, on Miramar beach, around a 2.5-hr drive from Tallahassee.

They have a range of accommodation, including glamping tents situated right on the beachfront, so you can wake up to the sound of the waves.

Tents have king-sized beds, bunks, bathtubs, a mini kitchen and a deck area.

You’ll have direct access to the stunning beach, plus they have a pool and the Pudgy Pineapple food truck where you can grab a bite.

The main thing to do here is enjoying the beach, whether you want to swim, surf or do water sports, before relaxing in the comfort of your tent where you can have a barbecue or enjoy the pool.

12- Treehouse Canopy, Miami

One of the unique glamping options in the state of Florida, this Treehouse is three levels, so you’ll be staying in the canopy and have a double bed, shared kitchen and separate bathroom.

The Treehouse is in a permaculture farm, surprisingly in the heart of Miami.

On the farm, you can meet pigs, emus, parrots and tortoises and fresh eggs, honey and vegetables are seasonally available.

Aside from exploring the farm, you’ll already be in the centre of the city and downtown and Miami beach are a short distance away, as are the glittering bars and restaurants and plenty of shops to explore.

13- Kai Hideaway, Camper in the Trees

Kai Hideaway is on the pretty Vero Beach, about an hour’s drive from West Palm Beach near Miami.

You’ll have more than enough beach to keep you happy here, where you’ll stay in a cute campervan hidden away in the forest.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a queen-sized bed, a fully stocked kitchen and TV, a hammock, outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill.

For anyone local to Florida, the hideaway even has space to park your boat, should you want to take it out on the nearby water.

The nearby area is a quiet neighbourhood where you can walk or cycle, but the camper is only 20 minutes from Vero Beach and the same from Sebastian, which has a variety of bars and restaurants.

In the heart of the beautiful Lake Louisa State Park, you can find a pretty white glamping tent that is perfect for spending a night or two in nature.

Outside there is lots of cute furniture so you can sit around the campfire late into the evening.

Miss Ruby is a funk, red-striped 1965 vintage camper that comes with all the modern amenities you’d expect from glamping.

Being on a lake makes the perfect camping spot to enjoy swimming or kayaking during the day, while in the evening, you can chill out in the hammock, set up the grill and firepit, and enjoy some dinner and company under the stars.

16- Treehouse, Saint Cloud

Located in the beautiful St. Cloud and aptly named the Treehouse in the Clouds, this is one of Florida’s most picturesque glamping spots.

Tucked away in a large tree, the house has one bedroom and one bathroom, perfect for a couple’s getaway.

There is an outdoor deck stretching around the house, where you can enjoy a morning coffee or wake up to a view over the parkland, not to mention the skylight, which lets you fall asleep with the stars overhead.

The property is rurally located on hundreds of acres of farmland, where you can see horses and go for walks, however, if you’re driving it is just south of Orlando, meaning there is also access to the theme parks.

17- Glamping 30a, Santa Rosa Beach

Located in Topsail Preserve State Park in one of their campsites, Glamping 30a is on the windswept but stunning Santa Rosa beach.

Inside the 16-foot tent, you can find a queen-sized bed, heater and A/C, outdoor furniture, and a fire ring to spend an evening under the stars.

Many people come here to relax on the beach, go swimming or surfing and enjoy the outdoors, however, the beach also boasts super high dunes, and within the state park are lakes that are popular for fishing, and wetlands where you can go bird-watching.

18- Glamping with Alpacas, Lee

If you’ve ever been glamping and thought a few wild animals would make it even better, then this is the place for you.

You’ll still get to stay in a classic glamping tent with a queen-sized mattress and climate control, plus a separate bathhouse and ”The Red Shed” which has a fridge, microwave and coffee machine.

There are already pots, pans and utensils which you can use on the outdoor firepit and grill.

The best part is that the tent is in an alpaca field, so you’ll wake up to these curious animals grazing outside your flap.

They also have sheep, goats, chickens and honey bees.

19- Glamping Dome, Davenport

This is one of the coolest glamping spots in Florida, where you’ll get to sleep in a bubble dome.

The property has two bubble bedrooms and a bubble living room, with the bubbles themselves being completely clear, although they can be covered by curtains for privacy, meaning you’ll have outside views and be able to see the night sky from your bed.

The bubble also has WiFi, TV with Netflix, and outside you have a hammock, seating area and private hot tub.

It’s just a short walk or drive to lots of shops and restaurants, and Disney and Universal are 25 miles away.

20- Old School Campers, Clearwater

In Clearwater, right on the beaches of St. Petersburg, you can not only stay in but rent and drive a classic, brightly coloured old-school campervan.

Renting a camper means stopping and staying in any location you choose, although many people stick close to the beautiful beaches.

Inside your Volkswagen, you can find a two-ring stove, two beds, and a sink and cupboard for groceries.

If you’re staying overnight, there are plenty of official camping spots in St. Petersburg and Clearwater, as well as furth up towards Tampa, where you can access showers and amenities.
